Under A Christmas Tree?

Abercrombie & Fitch, Armani, Burberry, Chanel, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, FCUK, Gucci, Lacoste, Prada, Vera Wang, and Versace. Or maybe Anna Sui, Estée Lauder, Lancôme, Tiffany & Co.!

Oh Please!

Somehow I doubt it.

Ha ha. Merry Christmas everyone!

Not Feeling the Christmas Spirit - must be the lack of snow...

Christmas at home:
Yesterday we went to my parent's friends' house. They have an 8/9 year old daughter (spoiled only child!) First my brother and I played a Lizzie McGuire game which she SO cheated at! Then we went downstairs and she played with my hair and did my nails. Ha ha, doesn't sound too painful, but let me say that she painted both sides of the nail.... and spilled nail polish all over my fingers. Afterwards I could barely move my fingers. The dinner was amazing though.... so worth the trip! Honestly this girl is so cute... but sooo evil! ha ha, I can't explain it... she's just really smart for her age. You can't trick her! ggrrr.. she's like as smart as me!

Today is Christmas eve. My dad and I pretty much can't stop fighting. My brother is insensitive and lazy. My mother is trying to do too much and be the perfect hostess. Things were fine but now my grandparents and my uncle are over. He is pretty much suffering on the inside and just sitting here taking everything my grandparents throw. My grandmother refuses to stop talking... and my grandfather is teasing us all. Oh, this sounds like a normal day to me though. Although it is clear that my uncle is putting an extra christmas effort to restrain himself and behave.

Tomorrow I get to see the other half of the family. It's the bigger half... and there are lots of people I like talking to... but there are of course a few I really don't. Sometimes I wonder if going there and getting the presents is really worth what I have to go through.

First Adventure Back Home

Yesterday I woke up super early, had a shower, packed my overnight things, drove my brother to school, then went to Alice's house where I learned all about chemistry! I still remember that positive/negative real gas! ha ha... Anyways, then Alice and I bussed + subwayed downtown where I met up with Janet, wished Alice good luck on her exam, and then went to see Janet's place. By then it wasn't even near noon. Janet and I decided to go shopping... and we basically went everywhere downtown... as in we didn't stop shopping until after 4. Then we waited for Shannon and Doris to show up. Then the four of us plus Jenny and Celia went out for dinner. Not only was it very yummy, but we all learned something new about each other. We couldn't decide what to do afterwards, but Shannon and Doris had to go home. So Janet, Jenny, Celia and I went to Jenny and Celia's apartment ad hung out there. Oh card games... Bellinies and mike's combined didn't help Janet and I do well. ha ha.... then Janet and I went back to her place... watched the smurfs!! (yah... that was sooo the best!) We stayed up late talking and catching up... such a slumber party! lol.

This morning I woke up and was treated to breakfast by Janet... Thanx! But I was freaking out about being late to pick up my car from Tacky's as Janet's mother was stuck in traffic -because if I were then nobody would be there to let me get it. In the end we raced to Tacky's house, hoping to catch her mom who could let me in... but alas we must have just missed her... so I ended up actually busing back alone (ottawa people might not think that is shocking, but I hate the crazy system down here... and I will never understand it! ha ha)

Anyways, after walking home from my stop I started to do my laundry, and bake cookies. (lol - craig... I didn't burn them... plus my sink was clean enough to work with! wow.... I almost forgot what that was like...) ha ha. I love baking! I hope there are going to be more awesome adventures downtown... Tacky, we misssed you there!

Post I Wrote on the Train

Sitting here on the train, thinking about last night’s fun. Also listening to some music (Maggie, after hearing Incubus’ Anna Molly, I don’t really think that your friend Ian sounds like them, but I think the band itself in general does a little bit). So last night after my last exam Maggie came over and we hung out at my place until we got hungry, then we went out for dinner at the Royal Oak. Good food! Afterwards we headed down to see Maggie’s old co-worker in his band. I have to say they were like a million times better than what I expected (and very nice too!!) I got to meet their groupie (ha ha!) and got a free CD in the end! It was such a perfect night and I had the best time! Got back a little late… couldn’t sleep for a while because I kept thinking of things to pack that I had forgotten. Meh… I really hope I didn’t forget anything!

So far I have watched Mary Poppins and played a lot of mindsweeper and freecel. Good times…. but my battery is running low now so I don’t know what I am going to do for the rest of the trip! Seeing as how it’s only been a little over half way I think I’ll die of boredom before I make it!

So I am thrilled about this trip home. School is sucking… and next semester I am going to die… none of my courses are in English! What was I thinking? Maybe I am crazy… that sounds likely. Anyways, I am on the other hand looking forward to next semester… some classes are promising. Plus if things work out with people coming to visit me, it should be full of good times. I just need to get over my hatred for the weather here. Ha ha…. Next semester is going to be ultra cold, I can just feel it. It’s been too nice out these past few days that I can only guess how bad it is going to get in the next two months.

Anyways, I when I get the chance to post this I will be home and will have the chance to see everyone I miss!

Ten lords a-leaping!

Ten days until Christmas... ha ha, not like you could tell by going outside... but the malls are alive with the shopping spirit! Exams are almost done and I am getting restless. This semester needs to end asap! (mostly so that I can go home and shop without regret of not studying... ha ha!) Plus I will finally find the time to get a haircut! Excellent! You can't really see in this picture... but as I haven't cut it since like June - I think it's really past it's due date.
Anyways, I got a mark back already. I thought it would have been a guaranteed A... alas it was only a B+. Grr. Oh well, I guess I can live with that. This semester was pretty much a disaster in terms of marks anyways...

Pretty Shameful

Is this sick or what:
Number of times I went to the mall each day this week...
Monday - once
Tuesday - three times
Wednesday -twice
Thursday - once (so far)
Friday - unknown!

...sad! I should really be studying instead of shopping....
too bad.

SH-SH-SHOPPING!

Yesterday I had my second last exam. I finished it pretty early then went shopping with Craig! (both grocery and regular shopping!) When we got back we went on music downloading sprees! When to bed a little early with a headache, and woke up this morning bright and early! Got an early start to my day by actually going to the gym by myself! (Felt pretty proud I actually went, even though I wasn't there very long...) Anyways, then I went to visit Maggie at the mall... then got bored and found out that Heather was free... so went over to her house and we went shopping for her brother! He he, then we went for beavertails... Heather made friends with some cute little birds, but I found out that she was discriminating against the bigger birds... tsk tsk.

------
While writing that, Maggie called me and asked me to help her do some more shopping, as she had just finished work... so I agreed, and went back to the mall - having nothing else to do anyways... ha ha. Anyways, the funny part is after I got home after the third time shopping today my daddy called me and told me he was having trouble finding something for my mom and he wants me to go back to the mall and look for him here. ha ha... I told him I don't think I could go to the same mall four times in one day, but this gives me a reason to go back very soon... ha ha!

New Angle.

So... this is me really not wanting to study. I am faced with the hardest exam of my life (so far), and that seems to make me want to study less. Of all courses, this is the one I need to study for the most. Grrr... I can't seem to gather up the will power to study. Maybe I'm just all studied out. Honestly I have the drive to study for my next exam more than for this one. Ha ha, maybe that's because this one is too hard!
Meh. I just want to go home without actually going home. I wish it was possible to go home without seeing family. Except of course my awesome brother... whom I miss! Aww... I am already dreaming of everything I am going to do when I get home... and of course it involves spending very little time actually in my house! There are certain people I HAVE to see! (namely Tacky, Heather, and Sharon). There are also tons of others I miss and better get the chance to see also!
So addicted to The Fray right now! Been playing "how to save a life" and "over my head" like a million times all week! ha ha. Sadly I can't relate to either of them... but I want to say to those that can that you are not losing me!

Post 363~

I'm happy that most of my exams are done... just two left! Woot! Then freedom! Well, as I don't have one for the rest of this week, I spent this afternoon shopping with Maggie Moo! lol. Yes, it's like totally freezing up here, but I still went downtown. I'm feeling too poor right now so I didn't buy anything for myself... although I totally fell in love with too many things! ha ha... that's my life! Oh well. I should really try to stay away from the mall... it's a huge temptation. It's just really hard because I love the mall too much! Anyways, I just wanted to say I spent the day shopping... instead of studying for my next exam (which will be the hardest yet).

The Cookie Story

I'm sure you can guess what happened by the picture, but let me tell the story anyways. After my first exam (which went well), Craig and I decided to make cookies. We had bought some pillsbury dough a while back but never used it. So we start making the cookies, and everything is going well. The directions say to bake them for 11-16 minutes, so we put them in the oven and go into our rooms to wait until they are ready. I was sitting here using facebook and thinking how good the were smelling until ten minutes after we put them in all of a sudden the fire alarm goes off and Craig and I both jump up and run into the kitchen. ha ha, we totally knew that we were probably the ones who had set it off. lol. So we see all the smoke and Craig opens the oven and takes out the cookies (which are pitch-black), then drops them in the sink and pours water on them... then we open the windows and doors to let the smoke out... all the while in a sort of half panic, half laughing... ha ha. As I am opening the window I see my friend from class who just got back from the exam and start talking to her from my kitchen window... while the smoke alarm is still going off. ha ha! Anyways, she suggests the oven fan (brilliant!), so we put that on and soon enough the alarm goes off. Sadly, half the cookies were soggy from when Craig poured water on them, but there were a few that were not, so I decided I had to try one. To my amazement, only the tops were burned, the underside was perfect! Oddly enough I liked the cookies and had two! lol... maybe we will try again another day... or maybe it's just better (/safer) if we never touch that oven again!

Four Finals To Go!

This morning I had my last class of the semester. That felt great! Now it's exam time and I know everyone is stressed, but we don't need a repeat of last week! Please keep yourselves happy and healthy... (for those who don't know, two of my friends found themselves in the hopsital last week). Anyways, let's all try to make it through the rest of the month... well, actually it's not even a month! I'll be home in a matter of weeks! The only things that are stopping me are these four finals I have left... although as of tomorrow I'll be down to three!!! *smiles* Which reminds me... I should get back to studying.... meh.
Another good hair day?!

Snowy

Today is the first day of December. I woke up this morning to a beautiful snowy wonderland. Of course two seconds later I started to hate it... cuz I had to go all the way across campus to get to class. ggrrrr... ha ha. By the time my class had ended, it had started to hail. The snow was wet, so I was pretty happy with the whole idea of hail bouncing off me. lol. Anyways, when my next class ended it had started to rain. Rain is the worst. I can take the cold over the rain! I am always reminded of the wicked witch of the west who melts when she gets water poured on her. That's me! I melt! ha ha.

Anyways, after classes Craig and I went to Maggie's house to hang out with her, Becky and Dave. Yummy pizza hut, and Becky and I teamed up in the music seen it game. We came in third place... cuz you so know that I have no music knowledge! Getting to her house was hell in the rain... and we ended up walking home... i am very wet. of well... nice warm shower tomorrow and then tons of homework!
