Friday: went grocery shopping with Tacky, picked up some candy, and bug spray along with some actual groceries. Dropped her off at work. Came home, pulled everything out of storage and started packing my suitcase of clothes and necessities. Called Janet out of fear that we didn't have enough space in my trunk for all our stuff. Picked Tacky up from work. Drove home for sleepover and watched a math movie called 'proof' with Tacky.
Saturday: Woke up really early and finished packing stuff. Woke up Tacky and had some breakfast. Then we left to pick up Janet and Doris. Stuffed everything amazingly into the car. Picked up Elyse and were able to fit everything in perfectly! We said goodbye to the crummy gta and headed north to Algonquin to do some camping! We only had to stop once for lunch and cuz I got tired of driving. So we pulled over in Huntsville, little did we know that it was their festival weekend and they had a huge sidewalk sale all down their main street along with inflatable rides for little kids and a huge band. We did some shopping and left our mark on the sidewalk in chalk. Then we were doing some photo time and this newspaper lady came over to take our picture and wanted to hear about our camping trip. But ours had only started so she left without a story but a lame photo instead. We had a docknic (lunch on the dock) then left huntsville and drove to out campsite. Set up the tents quite well and ended the day with some beach volleyball... and smores over a campfire!
Sunday: Woke up several times during the night because of all the rain we had gotten... thus Elyse was drenched in wetness, and I was soaked too... the others we just a little wet. So we ended up getting up really really early and spending some time trying to dry everything off. Janet got bumbed out cuz she had wanted to try kayaking but it was still raining a lot. So we decided to go for a drive. We ended up in a small town named Brancroft were it was also their festival weekend. This was an art festival and as were headed over we were greeted most friendly by a guy who explained what was going on and was so happy to have some visitors. We finally got away from him and looked around the park and some people's art work. We even entered our names into a draw... not like they would ever send the prize down to us though. lol. Then we took a little buggy ride to the other side of the park were we looked around. Alice and I got paint tattoos (which are still 100% in tack)... and the lady who did Alice's was actually a famous painter! I got the word dream in Chinese on my arm and Alice got a butterfly on her back. lol... the girl who did mine kept saying the word "tacky"... I was laughing very much inside. Our tattoos are water resistant and very sparkly! I have no idea when they will come off. Anyways, then we walked over to see Alice's tattoo ladies art gallery which was insane looking! She was really really good! Then we headed back to the campsite... were we dried some more things off. Doris made grilled cheese sandwiches for us. Then we decided it was a good time to go kayaking and canoeing... so we did that; Janet, Elyse and Doris tried out Kayaking and Alice and I were in a canoe. We did that for a few hours then headed back to the campsite for dinner. More drying off things under the dryer in the girls washroom while the others tried to make a fire. Didn't end up having dinner until like 11:00... but it was really really yummy!
Monday: Woke up much later... fairly dry but still a little wet. Janet and I washed our hair with the cold tap. Packed everything up... which took a while. Had lunch on the beach and played more beach volleyball. Ball went into the lake quite a few times but brave Janet rescued it. Then we headed home. Stopped randomly to get pictures with some signs. Then my gas sign came on and Janet and I got a little worried that we would never make it to a pump. I think we made it just in time! We made a stop in Orillia... a town I don't think I want to go back to ever again. It was quite deserted... and the people who were there freaked us out a bit. We visited the soon to be Lakehead campus in Orillia... which was probably the only cool thing about that town. Anyways, then we headed home and people were amazed at my geography knowledge of York. We all made it safely and our parents we very glad to see us.
Oh ya, and I took 204 pictues to prove all of this!
