It's lent again... no more ice cream

Reading week is not going perfectly as planned... Tuesday was actually laundry day... Wednesday was fun, and now i'm being snowed in on Thursday. arrg. So yea, yesterday Jenny and I went to a sandy lion sticker outlet store. Amazing! Something told me to buy stickers... and I did.... spent 11 dollars on stickers! Insane! ha ha. Then we went clothing shopping... Jenny got some things but I held back. The deals were not good enough! ha ha. In total, Jenny and I went to three malls yesterday... plus the sticker place! ha ha... that is mad skill! We both stared at the animals in all three pet stores for sooo long. We fell in love with a cat that we both wanted... and there was an adorable guinea pig and some dwarf hamsters I could have taken home with me if my parents allowed other pets. Grr! They are sooo cute! Anyways, for dinner we met up with Sharon and Henry at Pickle Barrel. yummy! Followed of course by more shopping. Afterwards we were trying to think of somewhere to go, but realized we were stuck in the middle of nowhere! GRR! I hate this town sometimes and which we could have just gone downtown. oh well. Hopefully tomorrrow will be fun with Tacky!

Kung hei fat choy!

Pig! mmmm... I should look into the pig / rabbit relationship.

So I like totally thought that I was doomed to spend another boring night in rez before going back home... but then my friend Leslie from class called me and asked me to go skating with her and Meaghan. I said that I would love to come, but wasn't going to be skating... which was fine. ha ha... so that was my third time without skates. lol. Umm, so then the three of us went out for dinner... which was really yummy! After which we went back to Meaghan's to hang out with her roommate and some other friends to watch a movie. ha ha, I really didn't get what was going on... maybe we were talking too much. What a good night though... except nearly freezing to dealth.... which sucked a lot.

Is there something to the right?

Okay, this picture is way better! I didn't really notice a huge line right down the middle of the picture where I glued the two together this time. ha ha. Anyways, just wanted to say that I'm pretty excited about my plans for next week. Sounds like a lot of good times.
Arg, starring at this picture makes me really want a haircut. Which reminds me... brown hair after the break! Yup, after the break I'm dying my hair brown! It's my plan at least... i'm sick of my two colored hair right now as the top of my head looks almost brown, and the lower half is still rather blonde. grrr.. that's the life of a half blonde for you, the lesson is that no matter how hard you try to be a real blonde, the world will never let it become true.

Stuck Where it is Cold!!

First of all, we know I'm no art genius... so please, do not enlarge this photo. You will only see the terrible quality gluing together of two pictures done by paint - the only program on my computer that does anything close to something useful. So, you might wonder what possessed me to make it. Well, I am exceedingly bored! I'm still at school, and will be for the next few days, as I assumed that I would be overloaded by homework and would appreciate time alone on campus to get it all done so that when I go home I will be free. ha! I actually ended up with almost nothing... and as my midterms are mostly all over with for a while, I really have nothing to do. Well, technically I am still here to get together with my group members to work on our presentation that is due after the break. Yep... group meeting tomorrow! Sounds like a blast! ha ha.

As I refuse to relive any of the midterms I did this week, I'll just talk about the fun stuff I got to do that I never blogged about. Monday... study group with Leslie for Linguistics. Tuesday, study group with Leslie again, but for another course. In fact it lasted so long that we turned it into a Gilmore Girls study party. ha ha. Wednesday I was feeling too stressed and studied very little on my own. Thursday finished all midterms for the week. Today I went out to lunch with Leslie - mardi gras buffet baby! ha ha... let's just say I found most things except dessert a little too spicy for my taste... Tomorrow: group meeting with Danielle and Meaghan! Goodie!

Broke a Treasure

Stress growing. Very upset today because I somehow broke my ring. If you don't know which ring I am taking about, shame on you, it's the only ring I ever wear. Three midterms this week... plus a project to conclude the week. I'm not ready of any of them. I just wanted to share the sadness of my ring. It's really bothering me b/c I keep expecting it to be there every time I rub my fingers together. Plus my parents might be angry when I tell them b/c this is the like 6th / 7th time I broke it. That's what they get for giving it to me sooo long ago... wow, now that I think about it, I have probably had it for at least 10 years... no wonder my finger feels such a loss.

Frustration + Stress = bad combo!

I don't know if it is caused by all the midterm stress that i'm under, but lately I have not been the most friendly. I'm angered by all the fights I'm having with my dad these days. Every single time I talk to him lately I can't help but argue how unfair he is being with my bro and I. My parents are usually very fair, but it's not fair that my brother is getting all these things so easily that I had to seriously fight for. When I wanted voicemail for me phone, my parents refused... even though I use me cell all the time.... I finally got it this year only because it's my life line... but even still, it was a struggle that lasted many years. Recently I found out they just gave it to my brother, who doesn't even use his cell!! arrg. Plus when my parents go on a vacation this summer, my brother is going to me left alone in the house all by himself. That NEVER happened to me! My parents said that they are only allowing him because they 'know' that he will not have a party. As if! It was way more likely that I was not going to have a party at his age b/c all my friends lived soo far away! Are you kidding me dad, you are leaving him alone for a weekend with money and a car?!?! Don't you see that's not cool, cuz his friends live so close... it's a recipe for a party! How can they trust a 17 year old like that and yet never trust me!! I was way more innocent at his age anyways! ARRG! FRUSTRATION!! That news came last week and yet I am still so pissed about it. I don't understand why they are soo good to him. Dad told me it was because I get to do whatever I want while I am away at school. True enough, but I never got to have a party at home without my parents being there with my friends from back home. Maybe you can see the fairness of this, after all being first born has a lot of downsides as well as positives, but my mind is so blocked with frustration that I'm not thinking clearly.

Post 387

Stuck in the mid of midterm time. I know you understand how not fun that can be. Today was my first midterm, and it was ever so easy. I was happily shocked that I finished it sooo fast cuz I knew most of the answers. *smiles*, if only all the midterms could be like that. It helped of course that I got a little study card to use - that was in fact the first time that happend to me. Normally my midterms are devilish. Arg, i'm done for the week, but next week is insane... three midterms and a project! oh my! I don't know if luck will cut it, I really need to study.

Make A List!

This morning I woke up early (this is happening too often it seems), and went to the gym with Heather, Lindsay and Christelle. The last two were new to Heather’s and my new little routine. It was fun though. Then I went back home and Craig and I decided to go the library to get some work done. Ha ha, we weren’t there very long before he started starring at the people skating outside on the canal (we can see them from the library windows), and he suggested to go get some beavertails. Feeling weak willed as one gets while doing boring homework, I agreed. Of course, on the way over, we just HAD to stop in to the mall to see Maggie and do a little shopping. So finally we make it to the canal and decide the first beavertail store’s line up is too long… so we go to the next, which turns out to be much farther than predicted. We finally make it, but it turns out to be closed, so then we head back to the first one, because by that time we were hungry for some sort of lunch, and we end up waiting in the massive line up. arrg. No problem though, as we eventually get our yummy beavertails, which we went back to the mall to eat. lol. It was there that we decided that we never stick to our plans, and thus we need to create a list from which we must not deviate. While at the mall we go back to visit Maggie to show her out cool list… but then head back to the library (a different one this time – as we had written on our list) and get back the that homework. Eventually we get kicked out and have to go back to the original library. For dinner I had another first (#1 being on the canal), Craig and I went out for shawarma… which was okay, but not as good as I had heard. Now we are back in the original library again to get more work done. Perhaps tomorrow will be a more productive day. No worries, won’t be here much longer, soon it will be time for super fun dance party!

GD Celebrations

Hey! Happy belated groundhog day to all those who didn't celebrate the awesomeness of yesterday! Groundhog day was such a good day, almost as sweet as my birthday. ha ha. well, what other day do I get cards and presents (thanx again Maggie!!), and good news about spring??!? Sure some people thought I was weird when I wished them a "grand groundhog day", but it still brought many smiles to people's faces. :) Thanx to everyone who made yesterday a special day!

Something funny that happened yesterday was there was an international fair at the school that my friend dragged me to in order to try some food from around the world. We had some Taiwanese bubble tea (now I know that I like bubble tea warm and cold!), but when we got to the chinese table, they asked me to try some green tea. My friend had some, but I said no thank you. They looked at me like I was chicken or something. As my friend stayed at the booth looking around for a while, the lady asked me why I would not like to try some. To her shock, I told her that I already had tried it. It shocked her even more when I told her that I liked green tea ice cream much more than the actual tea. ha ha... you should have seen her face!!! She like freaked on me cuz she probably assumed that I was an uncultured little white girl. She proceeded to give me directions on how to get some up here and wanted to know where I had gotten it from. lol.

Then last night, Maggie came over for a girls movie night and we watched 'curious george' (very cute!), and 'never been kissed'. Good times!! Thanx again for awesome groundhog day maggie, but next year Heather said we could watch the gd movie!!

Sweet Spring!

What a great way to wake up this morning. I had to be up early anyways for class, so I turned the TV on and waited for the groundhog day report. I love Wiarton Willie for predicting an early spring! sure this winter has been short, but it was harsh at many points. Oh, Wikipedia has stated that the top groundhogs are in agreement: Punxsutawney Phil, Staten Island Chuck, Wiarton Willie and Shubenacadie Sam are all for an early spring!

This has really cheered me up!! It's good news for spring :)

Tonight maybe some groundhog day celebrations with Maggie and Heather? dunno. Maybe they will even let me watch the movie. ha ha... okay, I will not push my luck... I know that movie is annoying... but it's just cool too.
